Best hot chocolate in Paris

I was looking for the best hot chocolate in Paris, and of all the places I've lived, Paris has so many fabulous places to buy a delicious hot chocolate, so I was in a bit of a quandary.

What's a girl to do, but try them out?

My first adventure is at Cacao et Chocolat in the 6th arrondissement - just look at the thick, rich chocolate in this beautifully coloured cup and saucer! When the owner of the store placed this in front of me, I couldn't believe how decadent and delicious it looked :-)

Oh my goodness - this is like drinking liquid gold, a chocoholic's delight :-)

The staff were delightful and so friendly, I'll certainly be visiting them again soon.

I was staying in a lovely little hotel just around the corner (read more about that here) and I loved this arrondissement - so full of life, laughter, music, fresh market stalls - a read foodie heaven.

Wandering around this quartier was fabulous, but I have to admit - I couldn't eat lunch or eat or drink any more chocolate on that day after my first cup in the morning when the store opened. So filling and sooo delicious :-)
