So you've arrived! Now what?

You've arrived, you've settled into your hotel, hostel or apartment ...so now .... what are you going to do in Paris France? Visit the museums? Walk through the parks and bois [woods and forests]? Sample the cafés and restaurants? Go shopping? Go wine tasting? The choices are enormous!!! I'll provide a few of my favourite things to do, and throw in some other ideas, to see which ones tickle your fancy.

Daytime

think about what to eat - go to a brasserie

have an alcoholic drink
go wine tasting
walk around different arrondissements to meet the locals
learn French

visit Paris markets, flea markets or Christmas/winter markets
visit famous chocolate shops
shop in a monastery
search for antique books
learn words of love in French :-) you never know when you'll need these
learn the French national anthem
take a Silk Art/Silk Painting Tour
search the cool parts of hidden Paris
find gay and lesbian information

Night time

attend a private soiree to meet locals &other foreigners
go out for cocktails, aperitifs
go out for dinner, dessert
find a late night bar open till the wee hours
