Travel System Buggies - Getting around Paris with kids

Getting around in Paris with babies, kids and strollersPrams, Strollers, Buggies, Travel System Buggies, Pushchair, 3 Wheelers, 2 Seaters

So you've decided on taking the family to Paris for the trip of a lifetime, and you want to find out about travel system buggies.

Make sure you check out comfortable travel system buggies before you travel

You probably already know that travel systems combine pushchairs or prams with a baby car seat, which allows you to move your baby straight from the car into the pushchair without disturbing them. This is such an added bonus - you already have lots to carry so the easier it is to move the baby, the better it is.

When you're travelling and out and about walking around a new village, town or city, you need to have comfortable shoes if you're doing a lot of walking. If you're driving, you want a comfortable car. If you've got the most comfortable buggy [pram, stroller] for your baby or small child, you'll enjoy your holiday so much more.

In my experience, if the kids are happy, the parents are happy.

Is it best to buy or rent prams or travel system buggies?

Baby Prams, Strollers, Buggies, Pushchair, 3 Wheelers, 2 Seaters, Baby Travel System Buggies? What should I buy or take on my trip for my baby?

To be honest, only you can answer this question. It might depend on your budget, how long your trip is, and many other factors.

Some mothers' groups have noticeboards with announcements where you can either borrow or rent equipment.

If you decide to purchase, consider whether you'll be using a lot of public transport in Paris [the Metro, buses etc] and how heavy your pram or stroller is.

If you're renting a car, this might not be a consideration at all.

It all depends on how you have planned your holiday.

Travelling with travel systems can be quite a good decision, even if you're using public transport.

Say you need to take the train from Paris to Lyon or further afield, and you wheel the pram on. You might like to detach the baby carry cot and have the baby on the seat next to you, rather than leave the pram in the aisle. The pram frame can then be easily folded and placed with the suitcases in the storage racks.
