When I first moved to Paris I was wide-eyed and open-mouthed, seeing all those famous statues, monuments, streets that I'd only heard about or seen in magazines or on tv. Now here I was - LIVING IN PARIS - and wanting to see everything all at once, but also not wanting to look like a tourist. Well, you have to find the happy balance - and because I had years rather than days or weeks, I was able to see the attractions in Paris in my own sweet time, no rush.

But getting back to you - chances are you have a couple of days or a week or two at the most, and you'd like to know about some of those great Paris attractions, so - let's get started!

Getting Around

The first thing you need to think about is, "How am I going to get around?". Paris is great for walking, but if you want to see a lot of tourist attractions, you'll be exhausted after the first couple of hours.

I recommend you buy a Travel Pass of some kind, and a Museum Pass.
