I used to live in the 4th at 19 Rue St Antoine just before it reached the Bastille Monument.  Oh I loved this area, and I still do :-)

It's changed a lot over the past 20 years and now there are even more wonderful things to do and see, great pleaces to shop and eat - you'll love it, I'm sure.

Here in the heart of the Marais you will find the gay-friendly hotels, restaurants and trendy hotspots, with fabulous shopping and plenty of people watching. The rue des Rosiers is the centre of Jewish Paris, and crossing the short bridges to the Ile St. Louis and the Ile de la Cité will find you in historical Paris, some of the very oldest areas.

Features include the Notre-Dame Cathedral [Our Lady], the Hôtel de Ville ( Paris Town Hall), Beaubourg.

At home I have a map of Paris France on the wall beside my computer - ok, I know that might be going too far, but I love to daydream about all the placenames I haven't visited yet.

For the general Paris tourist map, grab any brochure, pop into any touristy stores, visit the Tourist information booths all over Paris, buy a newspaper or magazine ... you'll find the touris maps everywhere :-)
