Evening in Paris Perfume

Soir de Paris by Bourjois

Evening in Paris perfume - created in 1929 by BourjoisEvening in Paris perfume was created by Monsieur Bourjois  in 1929 (it was his first and in French it was called SOIR DE PARIS).  It became one of the most famous perfumes throughout the world, and it also became an immediate success and a favorite during Word War II.

To this day this beautiful fragrance conjures up the headiness of wartime dance halls, seamed stockings and G.I's. It has been re-launched in limited quantities as Soir de Paris - this classic fragrance is as heady, romantic and evocative as ever and has been beautifully repackaged in a unique cobalt blue crescent bottle - timeless, still modern, still romantic.

The classic scent includes a blend of the following: ylang ylang, violet, cedar, turkish rose, vanilla, peach, musk and bergamont. Its packaging is still very well recognised today, a cobalt blue tasseled flacon or bottle, it is even now sought after by vintage collectors.

I'm going to see if I can find a bottle of Evening in Paris parfum for myself while I'm in Paris this year - what an adventure - I will see how much more I can find out about it. :-)
